I have a pretty bad exhaust leak between the turbo and manifold because my pos gasket was blown out. I have the stuff to fix it, but I need to get my car e-checked pretty soon. Would it be wise to get my car through e-check before I fix my exhaust leak? Makes sense to me. Less exhaust flowing through the cat. Also, just to ensure I pass, I'm going to turn down my fuel trims with my sAFC. They only test the first few 1000x RPM, so I'm thinking of just leaning those out a good amount.
. but..if your turbo is ass loud with ehxaust not leaking then leve it leaking for time being. If i were you i would fix the leak and jsut do waht i did for my exhaust ticket i got. I went to my motorcycle shop and got some muffler packing, stuffed the shit outta my exhaust pipe, its a big 4" pipe, then i covered it with a bent piece and fitted piece of steel mesh that was really bendy. officer didnt ask waht anything was. Not only was my exhaust really low compared to what it was, i passed an emissions test for proof to court that my exhaust wasnt defective. An emissions test isnt even a law where i live!
