Exhaust install question

Okay, i have been collecting all the parts for my exhaust for awhile (working with a mc d's paycheck). All i have left is to buy the o2 housing, and was planning on going with the megan racing o2 housing. So heres what its gonna be, a 2g ported mani, megan racing o2, punishment downpipe, megan test pipe, and a srs catack. I was wanting to put the exhaust on myself, but i started thinking about flange alignment. How likely is it that the flanges on the downpipe test pipe and catback line up. If they dont line up i cant install it, and will have to take it to a shop which just costs more money. So my question is underlined incase you guys got lost. Let me know what you think.

Well that does help tell me that the test pipe will fit np, but whether the ebay srs catback will fit is a different question. I just dont want to take off my stock exhaust then find out that the aftermarket doesnt just bolt on. I cant weld or cut the pipe so i would be forced to take it to at shop. Which is money i hate to spend.

All exhaust pieces should be designed to bolt up to any oem exhaust setup its stated for. That means the aftermarket flanges are designed to fit oem flanges, and you should have no problem interchanging exhaust parts. (Unless you have different diameter pipe.)

I just mentioned this flange deal on your other thread...I had a custom test pipe made.and i still had to make sure my flanges were offset.

On my 420a I took out the cat and put the test pipe in. It was a ebay test pipe and fit perfect, i would assume the same for the 4g63

I just installed a PR 3" downpipe on my 2g AWD onto a SR-S catback and the DP flange was about 30 deg off from the catback flange holes. I know it was the downpipe because I had to wait a month and a half for the downpipe to ship so I used my stock downpipe with the SR-S 3" to 2.5" reducer, which comes with the exhaust, and everything lined up.

I may be comparing apples to oranges since you have a 1g and both the downpipe and catback will be different than mine (my DP eliminated the Cat). On a positive note, I cut my downpipe (about 6 inches from the flange) on a band saw, then bolted the flange onto the catback and bolted the DP to the O2 housing and marked a line across the cut for perfect alignment. I took the DP into a machine shop and they welded it for free as it took about 3 minutes.
