Exhaust flex section needed with Prothanes?

I'm in the process of building my 3.5" exhaust, and need to know if a flex section is needed. I have Prothane mounts, and from what I've read, I don't need a flex.

Any FIRST hand experience?

put one in there anyway. it will put less stress on the mounting locations and your manifold if the exhaust can move a little with the motor.

the cheapest place i found it was 170 bucks, did you find flanges, and how much?
