Exhaust flap to keep loudness down...

Hi,
Here's Mike from Switzerland again.
I've got a new 3" Turboback and I have to say, it is awesome that sound,
but here in Switzerland, everything above 98db is much to loud and the police will
take that Turboback exhaust away.

So my question is:

Is there something like a exhaust flap (damper) in 3" wich I can open and close from insinde the driver cabine?
So I can open it if I need a good flow and a loud exhaust and I can close it in case of driving by the police....

I hope you understand what I mean sorry for my bad english.....

i found this muffler in apex-i's japanese website...i believe there's somesort of gate that opens at WOT so the exaust goes straight through and then closes at lower pressures...

thanks. but this is not exact that what I am looking for.
I already have an exhaust. I'm looking for something that I can use
with my exhaust. Something I can plug in maybe between cat and exhaust or something...

You'll have to quiet down your exhaust first, by installing a quieter muffler, or a resonator.Then install a Y pipe with an electrically controlled block off plate, which would dump your exhaust. Hi,
so that means I can just put that between the cat and the catback exhaust, install it and then i can alter it from the drivercabine?
Is it not dangerous when I drive and it is closed or nearly closed?

What you need to do is let us know what kind of exhaust you have. Some have drop in silencers.

you can see the silencer installed in the tip, these will give you almost all of your power potential yet quiet it down. You could of course take it out whenever you wanted to, but its not adjustable while driving.

Hi,
I've got a 3" ATR-Cat back with a Hi-Flow Cat and a 3" dp.
The only possibility, to bolt on a http://www.twingles.com/ideck/misc/qtec/qtecinline.htm is in front of the 3" dp. between the engine an the dp. The rest of the exhaust is relatet with nippers/tongs?
Do you think this would be a good idea or does it get to hot to fast?
