Exhaust compatibility

I know the awd is different for sure, but do the 1.8 the 2.0 and 2.0 fwd turbo all use the same exhaust? For instance, if I was at a scrap yard and I saw a 1.8 or 2.0 fwd turbo (I have a 2.0 n/t obviously) would I be able to use the exhaust from either one of those models?

The turbo exhaust and NA exhaust are different, just get a custom one fabricated for cheap, or if you are that hard up, you could get a catback on ebay for like 100 bucks shipped.

honestly cheaper and better to get a 4-2-1 am exhaust i remember i bought a new one for my 2.0nt from autozone for like 89$ and put a 4-2-1 headers in for about 50 a year later, but as far as i know they are interchangeable. but not the 2.0t and the 2.0nt.

I was asking because I want to get another exhaust since my broke yesterday. I figured this is a good opportunity to get an oem/stock exhaust since I'm actually getting tired of the loudness of this Pacesetter one. So in other words I DO NOT want another performance exhaust.

I won't need a muffler, I just happen to have a oem one that's hardly been used sitting around here. I will need to replace the manifold all the way up to the last pipe that connects to the muffler (if I want to eliminate noise).

I went on Advance and Autozone's website for prices... wow WTF I'm looking at over $500 for all the pieces I need, so forget that. I can probably get the manifold at my local scrap yard (whenever they get a dsm in the yard) but I'm sure an exhaust will most likely be rusted out.

Opinions, suggestions, comments and questions are welcome...

Why don't you fix the piece that is broken, put the OEM muffler on, and leave the headers? Or just find a OEM NA exhaust manifold. The muffler alone will cut back on the exhaust noise. I don't think you need to replace the entire exhaust system.

I honestly don't know why you want to take the performance exhaust parts off. Don't you want a turbo DSM some day? If you are getting tired of the noise now, I don't foresee you liking the noise from the turbo DSM unless you leave it stock. But who wants to get a turbo DSM if you don't want to make power and at least do simple exhaust and intake mods?

You have arguable one of the cleanest and nicest 1G NA's out there. You have done alot of work to her and would hate to see you go the other way with it.

ok well i have an extra exhaust header for a 2.0 n/t if you want it its about a year old, no cracks, you pay shipping and its yours, pm me if interested. from south carolina to ny shouldn't be too bad shipping.
