EVOscan EVOSCAN Coolant Temperature Inverted

Just got my Evoscan cable and software. Troubleshooting my idle, and a few issues. Noticed that coolant temperature starts high and "cools off" as the car warms up, ending up at 82.4deg F. Not sure what setting to tweak. Also, I replaced my coolant temperature sensor thinking maybe it was bad. I used the part number found from the forums for the 2G GST. Looked identical to what was present (rounded rectangle). Same results after replacement. Any ideas?

First off put back your OEM sensor. I've done extensive testing on non-OEM sensors and they just are not good and give false readings. Always look for an OEM CTS even if it's used.

Secondly, EvoScan is weird with Mitsubishis, and usually you need to be using the "CoolantTempScaled" option because that's the real value being read from the CTS and reported to the ECU. Start logging that and report back your results. Temp sensors usually do not have polarity so it's not gonna be a case of mismatched positive and negative pins.

Thank you! That was it. This saga ended up in me breaking the vacuum line nipple off the BOV while removing the harness from the CTS and replacing the CTS (un-needed, but luckily cheap).

At least the replacement Forge BOV was a plus!
