I have heard some have done this, but have never actually seen a tech article or any pictures of it. If anyone on here has done it and knows what bends to get can you please post them. I own an Evo8 FMIC, but plan on getting the piping done by a friend, I just need to know what bends I will be needing for it. Thanks :thumb:

I'd like to know this too - I have an EVO8 FMIC sitting around, and it'd be great to use it if at all possible on my 1GB laser.

Anything can be done. But the amount of piping and the angles/bends they will take, you need to ask yourself whether it's worth the hassle, especially if you are not doing it yourself.

Well, I'm not too particuarly worried about the bends and piping - more with whether it'll actually tuck under the bumper cover without having to hack everything to pieces.

I did this on my 1g talon had it mounted and everything went to make up the piping and decided to (a) sell the car for funds to get my 90 gsx on the road an(b)the piping was going to be a bear to make work and keep the a/c, the angle for which the in/out make it a royal biotch had I had access to an alum. welder it might have been different as I would have moved cooler over to the gsx and made it work . :dsm: cooler looked bad a$$ on the car and yes I had 2 peice crash bumpers , if were so inclined you could probably just cut allitle out of the crash bumper and make it work ! :thumb:

it's not even worth it. Sell it and pick up a johnny racer intercooler and search on the form for posts on how to install and what bends you may need. just my .2 cents

Thanks for the replies. I dont see why people say its not worth it. I have heard that these are capable of helping you achieve up to 400hp. Im not planning on heading that far yet, but its just something better for now compared to my SMIC.

I dont know why people say that :notgood: A stock evo comes with a 16g at 19psi stock. Since I dont plan on anything bigger than a 14b I DONT see why this would be a bad intercooler.
