So I know when modding a car, things usually come in stages, to adequately support other mods. I had a real good idea of how these went with supra's, but am trying to get a good idea of how to go about it on a DSM.

I plan on going with an Evo3 Big 16g
650 cc injectors?
190 or 225 fuel pump?
Adjustable FPR?
Tubular mani?

The above mentioned things you listed are perfectly fine for your 16g setup, if you want to make the best out of the 16g, go with the 255.
Also don't forget to get an external gate if you plan on running the 16g by itself for a while unless you plan to bolt on all the supporting mods to run it at once.
A tubular is helpful but not necessary to run the 16g well, a stock ported 2g mani will do just fine.

i'd also check out so classifieds on the evo forums....the injectors from a later model evo will do the job...as well as the evo 3 mani and o2 sensor housing

Yes it is said to be. But I do not like plastic. So I'm running the 1g bov.

You need a tuning device to control the injectors by the way. SAFC or DSMLink or something like that.

If your going with the 190 walbro fuel pump, you do not need an afpr. But if you get the 255 lph fuel pup, you WILL need an AFPR.

Boost controller, Boost gauge, logger, and later on get an exhaust. Your going to have fun with that sucker.

The evo bov is wayyyy better than the 1g in every way.
The 1g bov stays open almost always, i hate ity, it's starting to piss me off.

Actually an evo8 bov is plastic crap like the 2g.. The evo 9 is metal like the 1g.. It works great... Im running my walbro 190 up to 24 psi on a holset flowing 44lbs a minute on 680cc injectors.. That list is fine..

BTW there is no EVO 3 BIG 16g.. its either evo3 or big.. It sounds like your looking on ebay...

List looks descent & its nice to see your trying to research some info yourself. To make sure your heading in the right direction, what kind of power goals or track times are you looking for? The 190 pump is good for about 400whp, so if you don't plan on making anymore power then that, you can get away abit cheeper as an adjustable FPR isn't require. Also if its a daily driven car I wouldn't run a tubular mani, even the good ones ($750-$1000+) can crack. I'd defently recommend the cast FP race mani instead (forced performance).

I would focus on getting a exhaust part out of da way
first. It's goin to hold back da turbo from it's max
potential big time.

Yes it is said to be. But I do not like plastic. So I'm running the 1g bov.
Even though the Evo VIII valve is plastic, it still holds high boost quite well. The boost level of the Evo VIII is around 18psi.

The Evo IX BOV is not plastic; it's identical to a 1G valve with a hose nipple on the bottom instead of the two-bolt flange.

The 1g bov stays open almost always, i hate ity, it's starting to piss me off.
Crush it *slightly* and it will have a little more spring tension if this really bugs you. Keep in mind a proper-operating blow off valve will be open slightly at idle.

BTW there is no EVO 3 BIG 16g.. its either evo3 or big.. It sounds like your looking on ebay...
The Evo III 16G IS a Big 16G- the "Evo III" simply tells what model of Big 16G it is. I believe the proper full description would be to call it an "Evo III Big 16G".

my buddy has a fp mani with a b16g running 20psi put down 360whp.. def has more when he puts cams and intake on her!!!:hellyeah:

Well The Injectors Are Good. For The Fuel Pump 255 Is The Way. For The AFPR Some Vendors Here Have Great Deals On Kits. The Tubular Manifold Is Not Necessary & Please Stay Away From Ebay Manifolds They Will Just Crack & Leak. The Ported 2g Like The Guys Said Will Be Fine! And You Will Need Some Fual Management So An SAFC Would Be Good!
