I have a friend that took his 16G off of his 2004 Evo. He was going to give it to me and when looking at it i was knowticing a big difference from the Eclipse turbos to the Evo ones... Our exhaust flange is in a square pattern and his is staggered. Our 02 housings are pretty much straight down his is crooked, and to top it off the eclipse has a stright flange with a gasket and his has a "ball and socket" style setup.... i know that a nice swap to do is put the EVO 02 housing and manifold on the elcipse but looking at it makes me wonder how the hell this is even done in the first place.... anyone have any answers for me?

Sell the thing and pick up an EVO III turbo. The cost in parts fabrication to make something that's oriented to the opposite side work won't be worth it. People have done it, but they either had fairly deep pockets or a plenty of fabrication experience.

This is also a fairly repetitive thread topic and I found this after a quick search:

I personally wouldn't bother,
