Hi, I have talon tsi 96, engine block is changed to 6 bolts, I have new evo 3 16g turbo, bigger intercooler and bigger walbro fuel pump.

Can somebody help me and tell what are main differences between evo 3 and eclipse/talon turbo engines? Is it block the same?
Head? Cams?

What do I need more to go 300hp and more ? I need bigger injectors, and evo inlet manifold? Or are they the same?

Thanks, Peter

evo 3 16g with bigger injectors such as 550cc or 650cc on a nice tune can easily bring you above the 300hp mark

I recently made 311awhp on a 16g with 560cc injectors, and they were at their max. If your looking for around 300whp i would shoot for 650s, thats what im doing next.

Evo I-III are 7-bolt. Cams are slightly bigger in the Evos and can be a upgrade to DSM owners. Think the majority of the head is the same, although the springs in the Evos are stronger I believe. Compression on the Evos is 8.5:1 in the Evo I and II, and I think 9:1 in the Evo III. Mitsu then realised the compression was a bit too high for those pistons and so in the Evo IV it went back down to 8.8:1.

Intake manifold is supposed to be worth some power from the evo3. Evo manifold has the 7cm outlet versus the 6cm on 2g.

ok, thanks guys for info. But is it worth changing inlet manifold on turbo engines? or cams?

I am just interesting, if I change these, can it be just 10-30hp difference? :)

Jep, evo 3 CR is too high, I suppose it shoud be 8.5 or 8.8 atleast. What about turbo boost?
Can I push it more than 1.0 bar? I had my evo 8, so std turbo boost was 1.1-1.3 bar.

Thanks,
