So I just had a rear dif built with an evo lsd for my 2g dsm.
I purchased dss stage 5 rear axles with evo inner cups.
I installed the axles and the dif today and I'm not sure if the axles are in all the way.
I push them in until they feel like they are maxed out and I can't pull them out without a pry bar. Which to me seems like the c clip is grabbing.
I've put geese on the spline and the shaft.
Both sides stop at the same spot.
Just curious if anyone else is running this setup and has any insight.

One of these pictures is to compare to a stock axle.

The EVO cups definitely won't go in all the way. With non-LSD cups it will fit in and the dust shield will fit perfectly against the differential, but EVO cups will stick out that far. That's just how they fit. Idk if it's a bad thing or not but at least the oil seal doesn't care either way.

So you would say that they are in all the way?

It would be better to get a response from someone with firsthand experience with the EVO cups (I have the LSD but am still looking for non-LSD 2g rear axles) but I believe so based on what I know about the EVO cups from pictures. You could remove the cups from the differential to confirm that the effort required is in line with the c-clip being fully engaged and upon reinsertion slide them in and out to find the exact point where the c-clip engages if you really want to be confident.
