Ok I know what's required in the whole process of using the evo pistons on the 6 bolt rods, my queston is this, are the standard size of stock evo pistons bigger than a dsm?..

I got free pistons from my friends evo, who just pulled the motor apart got a rebuild and I got the pistons for free and they are in great shape. So would I need my block to get bored over our would the pistons drop right in?

The pistons are the same size, as far as diameter, they are ever different in other senses.

I would look up how to use 2g piston with 1g rods, that is the same process as the evo pistons.

1g rods need to be bored out to 22mm to fit 2g/evo style pistons. I am using 1g rods with evo 9 pistons, great combo for the money. I dont plan on making more than 450hp with my build so it a thrifty choice.

You need to take your block and the pistons to a machine shop and have the pistons and cylinders in your block mic'd. Piston to wall clearance is very important for cast pistons. If your motor has a lot of miles on it, chances are that it'll need to go 0.020 over, and the stock bore EVO pistons won't be able to be used. No one can tell you yes or no for sure without measuring the cylinders and pistons.

^^^^ Agreed only way to tell is to really tell is have them mic'd. Pistons may be in good shape but as he said if you have alot of miles on your engine chances are you will need a bore thus eliminating the use of the evo pistons.
