EVO III tranny

Ok so I'm gonna need a new tranny here soon and in doing my shopping I head that the EVO III trannies are amazing. But there's two thing, 1)I found that the EVO III motors will bolt right to the 2g trannies so I take it the EVO III trannies will bolt right to the 2g motors, right? 2)Where in the world could I find an EVO III tranny and is it even worth it, I was told the trannies are bettr because they are double synchro'd, stronger gears and forks, and will cut considerable time off of your 1/4. But would it be cheaper to just double synchro a 2g tranny and upgrade the forks and gears? Thanks!

Little word of advice..... Do not bump your thread because it will be getting closed once a mod sees that you have already done so. Just letting you know for the future.

Check the final ratio of that trans and compare it to the final for your trans. I could be wrong, but I don't beleve the final drives between the Evo3 and 2G trans are the same. If they're not, you'll have to track down an Evo3 rear end to go with that trans. Considering the rarity of an Evo3 trans as well as the rarity of the accompanying rear end, you might be better off just rebuilding your existing transmission.
