Hey guys, I'm upgrading the turbo in my 2g AWD turbo. and I found two turbos, same price. Its between a brand new evo III 16g with the install kit for a 2g, or a 4,000 mile FP Big t-28. I have a logger, MAFT, and am getting 550s, so I have the basic supporting mods for both. I am hoping to run between 15-17/18 psi depending on octane, and want the quickest spoolup that I can get while still having good top end. I've heard both good and bad from both turbos, and was just wondering if anyone had experience with either. Let me know! Thanks.

Same price? Go for the EVO turbo. Regular Big 16g has a 2.5" exhaust output, EVO turbo has a 3" exhaust output--more flow obviously. T-28 would be the easiest to install (complete 100% compatibility with no kits needed), you'll have absolutely no fitment issues and possibly just a little faster spool (probably not very noticeable or not noticeable at all), all depends on how you have your set-up. I would personally go for the EVO turbo with 2.5" turbo-back. :thumb:

Can't speak about a 16g, but I love my T-28. I'm like you waiting for fuel mods and even at 12lbs it just pulls. Install was easy. I was looking at used turbo's, but I broke down and bought a new one. As long as you know how it was treated before it should be alright.
