will the evo 9 4g63 work in the 1993 mitsubishi eclipse gsx
i have the 6 bolt 4g63 i blew the head gasket on my block and im getting a new motor and i was going to shoot for the evo 9 motor but i wanna make sure it would work. please comment :hellyeah:

Not without a ton of custom fabrication. Just build your existing 4g63 instead of buying a stock evo engine for close to the same price.

If you have never noticed, the timing belt on the engine you are thinking about is on the passenger side, instead of drivers side. No big deal right? Only if you then do not realize that the transmission is on the opposite side as well.
 
No it won't work, the evo 9 motor is rotated 180 degrees compared to ours. Plus you can build our motors to similar power levels as the evo.
