I have found some 7bolt eagle rods w/ arps for my 96 gsx project. The thing is, is they have 40 over evo 8 stroker pistons attached to them. Will these fit my engine if I do a 40 over bore, and I would need to install a 2.4l crank right? Any info would be great, I found a good deal on these if I get the pistons with the rods.

Considering everything from the Evo block can be used on the DSM block i would imagine you could use them as long as you stroked the DSM block... the cranks are the same from the DSMs and Evos.. There just flipped around..

he said they are 8.5:1's.do i just need a stock 4g64 crank? one last thing i wanted to clear up, when u stroke the block do you have to get adjustable cam gears and mess with the timing? or do you just time it like a stock motor?

hey i think the crank that i have is the stroker 2.4l crank i just found this out

No stroker pistons for the evo 8... I had to clear that up today too LOL...
