Evo 8 rims, will they fit?

Friend just bought some new rims for his evo and has his stock ones sitting around, he gave me an amazing price that I can't resist. Well I can if they wont fit.
Will they fit on my 92 Talon TSI?

They will be the same bolt pattern, but I am not for sure if they will fit width wise. There is a post on the forums about putting 245's off of a 3rd gen RX7 on here somewhere. RRE sells spacers for wider wheels w/ longer studs according to that post. I will do some looking around and see if I can find it. Do you know what his stock tire size was on the EVO? I think that they come with 245's all the way around. If so, then you are probably going to have to get some spacers to get them on there without rubbing.

yeah i need the answer to this as well. a friend wants to trade me my stock gsx wheels for his stock evo 8 wheels. they r for another friend of his cause he already has new wheels. the thing that sucks is that i just got new tires for mine recently so im not sure what to do.

Pretty sure the stock tires are only 225's or 235's......a friend is running them on his 2G GSX with no issues.

They do fit on a 1g, I have seen it in person.

They are 17x8, and the stock Evo tire size is 235 treadwidth.

to answer NFINKBE...should be fine. i've seen many 2Gs with evo rims as direct replacements.

and my tire size (235 width) is the same width as that of the evo, no clearance issues, even on stock rims.

I wanted to know if anyone had pics of the OEM EVO 8 rims on a 2g. Im about to buy a set from this kid in my neighborhood and i was really curious as to how they'd look. the price is too good to pass up so Im definately gunna buy em.
