What about the new 350Z, no cargo room and a 2 seater, it has 2 doors and it's priced right around what the EVO and STI are priced at. Anyways.. I'm 34 years old and I have never heard of a insurance company in my life time giving you a break just because a car has 4 doors compared to 2 doors. Most of the insurance companies charge high premiums if the car is considered a high performance vehical, wheather if the vehical is 4 doors or not. Also.. if your under the age of 25 you will most likely have even higher premiums. The insurance companies are not dumb, they do investigate newer cars that come into production, atleast I know my insurance company does, and I'm covered through State farm. I have all three of my vehicals covered, plus life insurance, and my home owners insurance all together in one policy, and I pay a total of $140 a month.
Since the car has 4 doors they could classify it as a sedan instead of a sports car. Also, they did put it in 4 doors to increase sales. It is not a very economical car otherwise like the new 350z. Yeah you can rip the streets up in it but that is all. Why do you think the rx-8 also has 4 doors and why did the new civic si get a larger cabin. The main reason other sport went out of business is because decreased sales. I will try to get production numbers of the mkiv supra, 300zx tt, and rx-7 out of old sport compact magazines for you.
