Resolved Evo 3 oil filter housing install on 2g

I been searching but cannot find a definite answer to my concern. I have a evo 3 oil filter housing on my 2g gsx. I want to get it running asap. I don't want to run an external oil cooler. Can I basically install the evo 3 oil filter housing without any mods

I would recommend doing it the same way one would do a '90 turbo OFH. Pull the bypass valve out, remove the C-clip, spring, and spring seats, and reinstall the "blank" bypass valve. See: Oil cooler deletion help!
