Evo 3 o2 housing on 7cm^2 hotside

Im planning on picking up a ebay 7cm^2 hotside for my 14b I was just wondering if Id have to port the housing to match my evo 3 O2 housing?

You dont HAVE too, but of course it will help if you did.

it should be fairly close though right? Because it is a 16g housing just not a big evo 3 housing correct me if im wrong

IIRC, there's about a 1/2" difference in mating diameters, so if you didn't port it out, you would have a 1/4" lip all the way around the exit of the turbine housing. That will pose as a restriction.

Your car would function with an unported O2 housing, but it would be best to port-match it to the turbine housing.
