Okay, Who ever nails it, At the end will get a prize....Well the end will prolly be a week or so....

So, I bought a 95 AWD Turbo TSi. And, I havent been able to drive it since I just picked it up the other day, and I havent got insurence/plates/inspection. Anything yet cause its damn labor day.....So iv only droven around my block, havent got past 3rd gear. But....

I was told the car sputters in high boost....What all does everyone think it could be. Im goin to write down all the good ideas. and bring them to a shop, if I cant figure them out. And have all the ideas ran through to check them all. from belts to plugs. Anything

You know whats awesome about that....

I have the Exedy Racing Clutch (with new throw out bearing fork)

So am i good to drop it? I still havent, Im scared to.....To much speed....I went from a Buick Centry, that has prolly 85 hp, that you can floor, and everyone thinks your slowin down. To this TSI

Read what he said about having an aftermarket clutch.. make sure you have the money to fix a tranny.

Stock clutch + popping the clutch = stress on the clutch. ($400)
Clutch upgrade + popping the clutch = stress on the tranny ($1000+) & axles. ($700)

What would you rather have to replace?

Well that was the first thing i Heard of the Fuel pump, and well shit, that could be it. The whole bottom of my car is ####in rusted as hell. I bought it up in Long Island NY, and all the salt and shit, all the cars are rusted like a bi***, mine is. So that could be it. Did you pay to have it fixed, or do it your self?

I broke some lines when taking them off my fuel pump assembly [ a shitload of rust, and the leaking gas was eating away at everything ] . So i had to find a new fuel pump assembly. which was a big bi***. They are expensive, and hard to find because the AWD ones differ from the FWD vehicle ones.

can get one 495 from a dealer, or look for a used one. I found a used one from a kid parting his car, for a really good price [ 30 bucks] and his was mint. my dad made some fittings for the lines to attach back on, and we were good to go again.

buy a haynes or chilton manual for the car, they help alot ;)

also get new plugs and gap them. could easily just be that.

also look for leaking gas like i mentioned before. after you've been driving for awhile and park it, then are leaving again, make sure there is no gas puddle from where the car has been parked.

Don't drop the clutch. Dropping the clutch on an AWD DSM is harder on the parts and slower than learning to slip it in.

I still can't believe you put 4 people in a talon.....are they vertically challenged?

If the car feels like it hits boost and then sputters it is most likely an ignition problem like the plugs. If it feels like it doesn't hit boost and then sputters in the higher rpms it is probably a boost leak.

I dont even wanna take it to the red limiter, I wanna just drop it from like 4....I just wanna feel the AWD.....I dont feel the sputter tho, Would i noticeably feel it? I mean, When i floor it first, Im back to my damn seat till i shift. Then back again.

Well, we had 2 of mybest friends, and my girlfriend in the car. She sat in the back cause she was being pissy about me spending more time, with my car then her, on our 1 year. So i droped her off, and she called me tryin to make me feel bad cause i "love my car, more then her"

ALSO!!!

Another Add, The guy i bought it from, wasent there he was in college, So i bought it from his parebts, his dad said he had 2000 dollars work done to the tranny? Maybe he was doin it also? And ####ed it up?.....If i do it, Ill prolly only do it once in a while from like 4000 rpms? I dont wanna #### up my car ARGGGGGG.....

thanks, Well today is the first day im gunna drive it to school. Hopefully I turn some heads

You're gunning it in first without the wheels hopping - you ARE feeling AWD. Don't need to drop it at 4k rpm to notice a difference - try driving a FWD again.

Dumping the clutch breaks things.

Slip the clutch out, quick but smooth. Better to burn up a clutch disk than shatter your transmission.

There's no point in your trying to fix this car. It won't live anyway.
