Every time i start the car it acts like its running on two cylinders. When you let it idle for 2-5 mins. it runs fine.It does not matter if it's hot or cold outside.I changed the water temp, coil, plugs, plug wires, power transistor. All the easy sensors.Only thing we changed was hard piping, fmic, forge bov, boost controller,14b,ss o2 housing. The only cel is the o2 sensor is bad at bank one, which is the manifold sensor.

The car did not do this until, the aftermarket parts were installed.

The only thing?? That's a big list of aftermarket parts you changed at once. From now on, only change one part at a time so that if a problem does occur, you know where to start. Anyways, after 2-5 minutes it runs fine? Do you have access to a logger?

Yes, the the bov is recirculated. The stuff i changed out came off my car which, was running fine with the after market stuff.I just sold the stuff too a friend. It's wierd it's like something finally clicks and it runs right. It's more like it idles really rough and low then after about 5 minutes it's normal. It has stock 450's and no fuel mods.I noticed the the fuel pressure sensor was not hooked up.I also noticed when it idles rough like that, it back fire's through the intake, if you give it a little bit of gas.

Another thing that's weird is you step on the brake and the tach starts too work. You let off the brake and it goes to zero.It did this when we first got the car.I did change clusters but it did not help.

Sounds like a possible grounding issue. or shorted wire. I had an issue on a NT , where there was a short on the cam angle sensor and it would run fine for a couple of days then it would act up, then would start working fine again. Also a cracked coil will act up.

I'll change the throttle body tonight.I'll take pictures but everything is in the right place. So there should be 2 grounds to the battery, one ground from the harness, one for the the valve cover, and one for the exhaust? We also cut the ground for the exhaust, when we installed the 3 inch exhaust. I also plugged in my ecu just too see if that might be it.It was not the problem.

It does this every time you restart the car rather it's hot or cold. Which i believe its a sensor resetting it self.It throw's only a o2 code nothing else.
It sounds like it misfires really bad and idles low. Then it's fine.

I swapped mas sensor from my running car,I did a boost leak test nothing was unusual,I does not matter which ecu i use, it does the same at start up.I'll swap the throttle body on it tonight, that might be it.Because the guy before us put a new tps on but it's not in the same position as mine.

What o2 code did you pull, shorted to voltage/gound, low/high voltage etc.? Was the o2 code present prior to instalation of the parts you mentioned? Sorry to respond to a question with a question, and I may not know the answer but someone here might.

I really could not tell ya.He scanned it after the installs.I think the guy reset the ecu before we picked it up.The o2 sensor was from my car but it never threw a 02 code.I don't know why it would now.Maybe i peeled a wire back when i installed the turbo.

It's still throwing a coolant sensor code.I guess the ecu goes into closed loop. It's a new sensor but i think the wiring is messed up.I'll post up what fix's it hopefully soon.

I still need help on the tach.It only works when you step on the brake pedal.

Unplug the o2 to see if the car runs better without the false reading of a faulty sensor and check continuity from the ecu pin to the ect sensor pigtail. Those two sensors are vital and it will be hard to determine the problem without them.

Good call on unpluging the o2 sensor. Ect sensor resistance specs are 2.1-2.7K ohms @ 20 degrees celcius and .26-.36K ohms @ 80 degrees celcius, if you can get these readings this will tell you if the sensor is bad. Unfortunatly I can't get pictures of the tach wiring due to a copywritten software that I'm using and the brake pedal issue makes no sense to me...but the speed detection connector comes out near the battery. It sounds more like an issue under the dash though, for example the metal brake pedal grounding wires when depressed?

Did you replace the right sensor? The one with 2 wires is for the ecu, and the one with one wire is just for the gauge.

It was the front o2 sensor the whole time. The car idles perfect now, after a new o2 sensor.
I still cannot figure out the tach problem.
