Well now you can. I stumbled on this treasure trove of information. These are scans of the original homologation documents submitted to the FIA for Mitsubishi's WRC cars. It includes specifications of the production car, and pictures/drawings and specs documenting the "evolutions" they made on the production model.

Very interesting all the available different parts for the Galant. Never seen pictures of the parts for the rally spec cars.

Yeah, that was the most fascinating part. If someone was looking to build a WRC spec Galant VR-4 this would be a good jumping off point for making the custom suspension pieces, roll cage & mounting points, etc.

I'd kill to get my hands on one of those X-Trac 6 speed sequential gearbox, transfer, rear end combs. Those liquid cooled AP Racing brake calipers were pretty cool too.

I love this old rally stuff. Manufacturers trying to out-engineer each other in order to build the most capable vehicle. It was over before I got into it and i'm envious of old grainy b class rally video's with fans trying to touch cars wizzing past.

Yeah, same. I can't imagine the balls it took to pilot a group b supercar down a narrow forest dirt road, spectators scattering on both sides as you zip by at 100+...
