So a few weeks ago im messing around with ecmlink. I was messin around with the antilag and 2step, so i tested it out, nothing crazy just a 4500 limit with conservative fuel and timing values, all of a sudden i hear knock knock knock and something hit the ground.. I was nervous as hell at first but turns out the damper on the underdrive pulley some how rattled itself off.. any thoughts on how important they are?

Was it like a 4-5 inch metal ring that fits inside the dampener? That happened to me years ago and I didn't figure out what it was until a couple years later.

yeah the metal peice that looks like it was held on by rubber, just thought it was kinda funny.. oh well, excess weight removed from the rotating assembly ha

Lol! Yep, I ran my like that for probably a year until the rest of the damper completely failed from separation. Now I have a Fluidampr.

the peice that was glued to my pulley fell apart, nothings wrong with the solid metal underdrive pulley.. seems like all it affects is bearing life to me which is a non issue since mine get replaced every 6 months, its too easy of a job not to do..

You replace your main bearings every 6 months!? WTF

I have no idea if they do or not. But I'd get an OEM pulley or a Fluidampr asap. Don't want to get stranded anywhere or have the rest of the pulley go bad and eat into your lower timing cover.
