Even 105C Caps Leak TCU / ECU

My A/T went into LIMP MODE, I checked my TCU, and guess what, leaky capacitors. These capacitors were rated at -55c to +105c, celsius not fahein.........

Check out the pic below for the mess I found in my TCU, this could happen to you to either on your ECU or TCU.

After I replace these leaky capacitors, do you all think my LIMP MODE might go away?? will a tiny little leaky capacitor cause the tranny and/or TCU to go into LIMP MODE?

It's not a generic capacitor temp rating it's a failure of the seals on these caps that causes the leakage and the damage from the leakage. These are the same caps as the ones on the ECU and they just fail over time. Oce you clean up the leakage, repair the board and replace the caps, you have a good chance of it working again.

:thumbdown No way! Stay with electrolytic Capacitors! Same Voltage, Same Capacitance, Same Temp. Range.

Don't go to radio trash(shack) , 9 outta 10 times you won't find the exact same one you need. I didn't.............
