My GST governs out at 115mph....which sucks for me because I live in Germany, so I hate it when I'm on the autobahn and I get passed by a stationwagon or a van etc. (Don't worry, the roads here are much safer than in the states.....traveling at speeds of 100+ on the autobahn is common just like 65 is pretty common and safe in the states.

Anyways, I was wondering what actually has the governor....is it the ECU or TCU?

I was looking into getting an EPROM ECU....will a manual transmission ECU work on my automatic transmission DSM? HELP!

The speed limiter on a 2G FWD can be disabled by changing a resistor. I don't remember which but searching here or the VFAQ site should produce the answer.

Try this http://www.dsm.org/how-tos/speedlimiter.htm

The 4G63T 2G ECU's are the same MT or AT

There are station wagons and vans that exceed 115MPH? Now there's a sight!

Yeah its pretty crazy, you can go out on the autobahn at anytime and you'll get passed by a stationwagon every time. The average speed on the autobahn is about 100/ 110 mph!
