Does anyone have a diagram of what all the connections do on the gas tank of a 98-99 fwd gst. I know the tank is setup differently than the 95-97. ( I have a full Mitsubishi shop manual but can't find any real details on the tank itself or the lines coming off the fuel filler)
I removed all egr/evap from my engine bay years ago after my engine build but never touched the gas tank area.
But recently I started having issues getting gas into the tank. As if pressure was building up and kicking off the gas pump.
Dropped the tank today and took off the fuel filler setup. I removed a bunch of lines and hoses. Only leaving the vacuum line directly above the fuel inlet in the tank and the main fuel inlet hose. Deleted everything else.
I know one of the connections in what I think is the charcoal canister ( has 3 connections 2 on the outside are slightly bigger than the one in the middle) .. goes to the fuel pump shutoff system in case of roll over. But the 2 additional connections, one coming from the fuel filler setup, and one going towards the engine bay. But there's also one connection all by it self on the driver's side of the tank I capped it off. But not sure if this will cause any issues. Not sure which of the 4 hose lines are a vent for the tank? If any are?
Started the car and it runs fine but just concerned on too much pressure building in the tank? Haven't tried filling the tank back up as of yet either. Have like 4 gallons in the tank currently.
Thanks
