2G Fuel filler problem?

Recently I've noticed when I try to fill the car it seems like the vent to the tank is messed up because it sprays back and makes the handle click off. It's rather annoying and makes it very difficult to fill the car. Has anyone ever had this problem before. I've searched here but the only thread I found was from 2010 abd was never resolved.

I've seen that problem before. The vent probably isn't opening.

Either the fuel shut-off valve is sticking closed or the fuel tank filler tube flapper is not sealing the vent tubes when it's open.
