I searched but if this topic has been covered please just send me a link and sorry for the re-post.

What is required to add a turbo to a non turbo car? Is the 4g63 internal workings the same as a 4g63T? Can I just add a turbo off a tsi? Or do I need a tsi engine?

You need to look for non turbo to turbo conversion.. There is alot of info but a quick over view from the small amount of info i know.. There is to many of these posts just to pick one.

N/a piston are 9.0:1 cr and T pistons are 7.8.
The ecu is different, the wiring harness is different, tranny i believe is weaker, gauge cluster, cams..
the rods are the same and your engine doesn't have oil squirters..

You may just want to look into selling your car and buying a turbo DSM. It'll be a lot easier in the long run and you could even get an awd car. That's what I would do before ever converting a non-turbo to turbo.
