error trying to read obd connector

ok so in my car i cant read the obd connector every obd connector i have used gets an error and even for the nys inspection the obd connector to scan for emissions wasnt able to scan it and its getting power i think because i used 2 different obd connectors that get power from the port itself so what could be the problem?

I had a similar problem before but I brought it to an electrical mechanic and he said it was from corrosion in the harness where it connects to the fuses under the dash.

what was done to get it fixed?

They re-soldered the whole harness to fix the broken and corroded ones. There may be a simpler solution but I had multiple electrical problems at that time.

Try turning the key to the on possition, just before you start the car, it's the only way I can read my codes.
