Eprom ecu swap, new isc installed. Problems !

A week ago I received my New isc. Old one had 192 ohms on 5-6 coil with constant surge and threw a cel. I installed the new Isc and same thing happened and it threw a code, I checked the code and it was the ecu.

I already ordered a eprom ecu so I just waited until I got it. Today I installed the eprom ecu and the new Isc. Checked everything over and started the car, at first it idled for 5 seconds then it died. Second time trying it idled right up to 3k and threw a code and I turned the car off.

I have a 1993 talon es, vr4 6 bolt. I thought the non eprom to eprom swap was just plug and play? Is this normal for first start up, because it really doesn't seem like it. I really hope the ecu and isc are good, literally had the car on for 5 seconds till the cel came on.

What do you guys think?

Ok to clear some things up your profile says 93 Tsi, but you stated you have a 93 es. Which one is correct?

Also what year was the eprom out of? Can you get the number off the case of the ecu's?

My talon is a 1993 eagle talon es with 6 bolt swap. made my profile tsi because I was going to buy a tsi and it got sold before I could. Also the number on eprom ecu is MD193299, to my knowledge it's from a 93.

Did you put a turbo on your car? I ask because ES's did not come with a turbo and the eprom you have is for a turbo car. What is the number on the old ecu? Also is your es a 1.8 or a 2.0?

It's a es non turbo 4g63, never had any problems with the ecu. This started since the ISC died. Ill check the number on the old one when I get home.

Just fixed some things up cured the cel, none of the C.O.P were connected. FOR SOME ODD REASON!!!!!!
Now as I start my car it starts and just dies.

Reset ecu, same thing.
Plugs new
Wires new
Coil Pack good
ECU, eprom ecu basically new good.

Power transistor a possibility? Even if I try to rev the car it will just die once turned on.

All of last season it was basically always reliable and even the first 2 months of this season! Since June it's been nothing but problems from a car that was RELIABLE.
I found the tabs for the connectors on the ecu, one was broken took me an hour to get it unplugged (clear sign the last guy tried taking it out and screwed up). Bunch of loose screws under the dash also. Spending more time fixing someone else's mistakes then improving the car itself!!
