So if u want to look at the mods list in my profile it will be more fine tuned, but all in all i have a fresh rebuild with NPR pistons and Kings Race bearings, ARP headstuds, 20G, FMIC, HKS SSQV, lightweight crank pulley, 3" exhaust, and Lightweight flywheel as far as engine mods go. When my ECM link comes in, first thing i'm doing is slapping on my evo 560 injectors and takin her to the shop for a tune. So my question is, will EVO 560's and stock fuel pump hold 20PSI?? I want to have it tuned for 20, so just wondering if i will need a 255lph. And if i do whats a decently priced AFPR. And will the 560's be enough??? Just dont wanna get down there, spend $500 and not be able to get what i want out of it. Thanks!

I've got FIC 750's with my 20g. Wally 255, stock FPR and she tuned beautifully to 28psi on 93 oct with ECUFlash. IDC was only at 79%.

I'm completely retarded when it comes to ECMLink, how different are they when it comes to IDCs/tuning?

You'll need bigger injectors to hit that goal on E85. See the injector size calculator here.

Well then I'll push them to however far they will get me... :) and upgrade if I ain't pleased with the power. I'll be tuning via flash for whatever that matters, since I have a 99.

Calan, thanks for the advice on the crank pulley, someone else warned me on another thread to put the stock on back on. Tomorrow my FP manifold is coming in and ill be swapping it out then.

Also thanks manny! I'm gunna post up a build thread tonight hopefully!

Jaxness, I'm actually moving to Jacksonville next July/August, so I hope to see you down there haha. Also what size rims are you running, I'm trying to decide on 17's or 18's x 9.5.

On my 2.4L I was over 100% idc using FIC 650's and rewired 255 pump with my 20g. Switched to PTE 880's and was only in the high 70's idc. A bit bigger than needed but glad I did because now I'm on an FP 71HTA turbo and into the mid 80's idc. I would say 750's are about perfect for a 20g; add 30% to that if you're going e85.

That's a very bad idea. Not only will running injectors over 80-90% IDC shorten their life drastically, you also have no room for error. If your fuel system can handle anything your turbo can throw at it, you run a very low risk of boost related damage. Running too small of injectors at high IDC's means one slip of the boost controller could spill rods and pistons onto the pavement.

Do it right, do it once, or don't do it at all.

560s on a stock fuel pump with a 20g@20psi. will run your IDCs very close to 100% which will not be safe.

Around 1000cc injectors, 255 FP, and a FPR is the average route taken in the 20g area in terms of fuel.

This is a good thread... I'll be doing a bastard 20g myself. Already got 255lph, 1000cc, 272's yada yada..and most likely going with the corn oil e85 :). My goal is to break 400hp Aswell. Good luck on your build, and keep us updated.

Your goal of 400 should be easy on that set-up.
