In the near future I plan on putting a new engine in my car! I planned on doing a 6 bolt swap but then got alittle scared off by some stuff I read on dsmsupport.com. Something that had to do with the CAM angle sensor. Is a 6 bolt swap pretty safe to do. I know everyone does the 6 bolt because of "crankwalk", But i really dont have a fear of crankwalk so would I be better off sticking with a 7 bolt.
The car will be used just for a daily driver, with moderate upgrades. plan on getting about 300 horses out of it.

A 6-bolt swap seems like a waste of money in your case. If you have no fear of crankwalk, then there is no real reason to swap the engine.

right on,
I would probably be better off just having the block cleaned up, and then putting new pistons on and all that shit huh. bs removed. have the head cleaned up, new valve stems and guides.

Just stick with the 7bolt. My 7bolt was GREAT on the T25 with some bolt ons. For your needs put a nice 16G on there, bolt-ons, and a nice fuel system and you will be satisfied.

I want the evo III big 16g, run about 18psi. tune it all with dsm link. i got 650 injectors, What pistons and rods would you guys consider. I know I shouldnt go with a weisco, what about like a 2g piston with 1g rods or eagle rods.

The 1g rods and 2g pistons aren't bad. No need to BUILD the motor for your needs unless you have the money and want to do it. DSMlink isn't even needed...BUT get it if you can!

Seriously the cost to have the 2g pistons machined to work with the 1G rods, you might as well spend that money on a set of forged rods. I would highly recommend this because the rods get some of the most abuse. Get a set of eagle H-beams for your goals since those are tested to 500 hp, and the 2G pistons will work, if you do decide to go with pistons I recomend ross, go with a 8.5:1 stock ratio for 2Gs to run higher boost with 91 or 93 pump gas, and keep good off boost power. Get the DSMLink with a logger, it is much better then S-AFCII. Do all the fuel mods. Those 650s will allow you to run up to 21psi opn 91 pump gas. Also 99 7-bolts are less likely to CW then the earlier 7 bolts, of course anything with a piston can CW.
