Okay here's my dilemma, for a few days my car would intermintently have issues starting, at any time, could be after parked overnight, or after running into the gas station, didn't matter .. The car has full power to everything else, stereo etc, and I can hear the fuel pump whine, but the engine just won't crank, almost like the clutch isn't pushed in at all ...

Then, I got into a minor minor front end collision, and now it won't start at all ... whereas before it would start after a while of trying by pushing in the clutch etc ... but now nothing ...

My thoughts are either a) The clutch pedal switch used to start the car is either bad, or it's ground is loose, or b) The ground for the starter is bad ...

Any ideas? Any suggestions? I need some help please! Thank you

Sorry, I forgot to add. Try slightly hitting the starter with a small hammer and see if it starts, or even better have somebody do that while you crank it. And disconect the switch on the clutch pedal. Good Luck!

Before buying a new starter, test yours. Check the connections. From battery to starter, from starter to ground, and everything in between. There are tests you can perform on the starter with a multimeter to determine if it is bad or which componet is bad.
