I have a 1991 Laser 2.0. The timing belt broke and I replaced it, the tensioner and the balancer belt. Started it back up and it run rough and tries to die at idle. It runs fine if you bring the rpms up to 1100 but below that it's bad. Would a bent valve cause this, I've been told it could've happend when the timing belt went??
Any help is appreciated.

Curious..did you ensure that no valves werent bent? some can have bends hardly noticeble to the eye..and due to some stress and weight during operation, the bends become apparent....rubbin agains the stems thus givin you that rough idle.
