Engine tick

MY 1990 EAGLE Talon has a ticking coming from the top of the motor, im gonna run it on some seafoam and then change the oil...### oil weight would you guys recommend..it has 109000 miles

its lifter tick its normal

so what can i do to minimize it..

replace lifters for they're prob getting tired - is the absolute solution.

What happens is the tops of the lifters begin to get flat spots on them and the clearance measurement get's altered where replacement is the only solution.

Or, the hydralics within each lifter has weakened and cannot keep the recommended clearance no matter what you do.
