im going to be heading to iraq in a month and with the money i save over there i would like to do a engine swap. ill probably save around 25,000.
ive thought about selling my car and buying something newer but theres just something about my dsm that i dont want to sell it.

what would be my best bet for engine swap? ive thought about doing the 2.3lt.

what would you guys go with?

Is there something wrong with your motor now? Is your car a daily driver? What are you looking to get out of the car? Drag car? Daily driver? Autocross? Need more info.

Oh and these things in your vehicle profile aren't engine internals.

Hi, I'm Stergios. Nice to meet you.

I think what he was trying to say was a better approach to building any project would be to outline some general details first.

Whats your HP goal?

What type of motor would you like? An NA monster or a FI beast?

How will it be used? Will it continue being a daily driver or will it see some track duty as well?

Also, can you drive? What type of exp do you have?

First thing i tell people that want to build big HP projects are two things : Go to drivers school and work out your suspension first.

With 25 grand you would be looking at a DSM that could really move. At the same time though, you need to be able to control it and make sure it can handle as well.

Good luck in Iraq and thanks for serving our country.

PM me if you need anything else. The rally season is starting up again so i'll be frequenting these forums more often.
