Hey i am plannin on swapping a 6 bolt into my 93 talon, i woyuld rebuild the motor first though. I am just wondering what parts/ manufacture i should use for some of these parts. Here is a list of what i am planning on changing and i would like to knbow a good manufacturer.

Forged pistons
Valves
Valve springs
Timing belt
Where would i find a header to bolt a garret 50 trim turbo onto my car?
FMIC
Balanceshaft delete
intake
head studs
all my gaskets
clutch

Is there anything i am missing if im gonna rebuild? What other bolt ons could i do to this motor to give it more power?

When i rebuild i am starting from scratch so give me any good advice for my project. I would get the crank polished and what new parts should i put on when i rebuild?

Well i just want to get it back together. Just wanting to put in good parts so that when i want to crank out more power my engine will be able to handle it.

Mach V sells a rebuild kit for $499, seems like a decent place to start for a decent price. Unless your trying to build a monster then i would suggest staying with name brand parts (wiesco, manley, ect.) its kinda hard to recommend parts without knowing your goals

Well i am planning on buying a 6 bolt and rebuilding it and dropping it into my 93 talon. I am gonna run a factory six bolt block, factory crank, eagle rods and wiseco pistons. With factory oil pump and thats it for the bottom end. for the top end i am gonna run factory head with HKS cans, Skunk2 dual valve springs and Pwr aluminum head with a 4layer head gasket and ARP head stud kit with factory injectors, intake, injectors and throttle body. I will throw on MSD 8.5mm wires and distrubutor for an ignition system. For the turbo i am going to put on a garret 50 trim but i need to find a tubular header to bolt that on. I will run a 3" down pipe with a atmosphere dump 02 housing, dual clutch and a 4" intake pipe and FMIC and HKS BOV and DSM link for a tune. I will follow the upgrade paths for some easy upgrades. Does that sound like a good base to you guys??????

In the future i am planning high flow fuel rail, 255LPH fuel pump, 750cc injectors, Aftermarket intake, throttle bodyadn pulleys.

should i upgrade my driveterrain to? Should i put on a new fly wheel while i got my engine out?

Please let me know what you guys think because i am planning on starting this next week. Would this be a good setup? AM i missing anything??

Valves - supertech
Valve springs - kiggly
Timing belt - whatever

FMIC -ets or pr
Balanceshaft delete - oem
intake - manifold ?? magnus v3
head studs - arp

clutch - comp clutch best

i would buy manley or scat over eagle rods over the pass three years from what i seen eagle has gone to shit

Im sorry but after reading that, Im assuming you are very new to these cars. Maybe just stick with stock 6 bolt internals for now as they can handle the power. Or do 6 bolt rods with 7 bolt pistons for the higher compression. If you go with aftermarket I recommend Manley.

with that parts list id use factory internals. but if you have the money to drop on internals it couldn't hurt and if you get the craving for more power you'll have the block to support it. while you have the motor out do the clutch and flywheel! i would also do the injectors and fuel pump as part of the original build not something to add down the line.

What are your goals and what is your budget? Sure you can get crazy with forged internals and the works like you have listed and then you want 750 injectors? 750 injectors will be enough to feed around 350 horsepower, which the stock 4G63 will be able to handle with just some ARP head studs. I think you should really consider what you want out of your car and how much you are willing to spend (don't forget to include machine work and labor as well as parts), and spend a lot of time researching other builds on here before you make any decisions on what parts you want. Formulate a budget, do some research, then come back with that info and ask use what you should get.

Your budget and time will greatly effect your goals. But if you look for reliable and future power adders I agree with upgrading the fuel system. Only problem with going to a Walbro or any other 255lph is it's also recommended to use a AFPR. Internal wise I'm pretty happy with my ROSS racing pistons and they are much cheaper than the competition. Scat and Weisco have proven products too.

It sounds like you Have a long wish list of parts with no real goals, i mean you want to restore this car to nice and reliable, but your talking about racing internals on a nearly stock head, build log, and nearly no hint towards what this car is planned to be used for. unless i missed it. I beleive you should look into stock internals and a strong head. Once you are at that point, then start writing out long term and short term goals on the car, with a strict or flexible budget.

Well i got no budget now. I am just putting a six bolt motor into my 93 talon. I want to do the internals while the engine is out so that if i plan on doing future add ons then i have the internals to support it.

What else would i have to do to my head besides cams, valves and valve springs?

What header would i need to bolt on a garret 50 trim turbo???

Yo NylenS i believe you are on the track to a serious talon rebuild, I have a talon too, its got 750 HP to all 4 wheels and its really nice. I like to call it my "Greasy Talon", its pretty greasy.... I raced this sick turbo'd vette and whooped him, then I proceeded to ask him, YOU MAD BRO?! He said no bro, your car is so dece bro! And to be honest, I think your talon rebuild is so dec bro!
DEC BRO!
