Engine noise

Rebuilt head, all new gaskets, have a knock sound, No metal in the oil, timing is all good.
Any ideas?
Just but it back together had all the parts gone over my a shop.
Stared tuning base settings. No boost yet , only tuned for 1k, 16k, 2k, and 3k

We need to know more about when the sound happens to diagnose it more effectively:

Rod Knock: Can be re-created at idle or while under load. Usually occurs at 2500 RPM or above. Pull and replace spark plug wires one at a time with the motor making noise. If the noise goes away when any one plug wire is removed, it's likely a spun rod bearing.

Collapsed Lifter: Will typically continue at any RPM, but increase with RPM. If plug wires are removed one at a time and the sound continues, pull the valve cover and try depressing any of the lifters with your thumb. If they can be pressed down, they're collapsed and need to be replaced. Also make sure none of the rocker arms have fallen off.

Note: When testing for collapsed lifters, it's a good idea to pull the plugs so you can rotate the crank so that the cam lobes are not putting direct pressure on the rocker arms and lifters.

Other culprits for knocking type sounds can be a bad tensioner in the timing belt assembly or a separated crank pulley.

Also, does the knock have any correlation with clutch position? Any other symptoms?
