I just bought two DSM's one is a 90 gsx, and the other is a 92 Talon 2.0L N\T. Or so I thought. I'm planning on keeping the gsx but the talon I just want for a gas mileage car while I refine my eclipse. Here's my problem. It turns out the hillbilly who I bought the talon from swapped a non-turbo engine into the car when it was a turbo car not changing anything but the engine...
So now I have dumped a nice chunk of money to get my talon running sub-par. It has a turbo ECU and wiring and a n\t engine. So the idle stay's high and it blows double the legal emissions so I cant get it registered. And I don't want my money to go to waste and the car runs damn good considering the issue.
So my question to the DSM gods is, what is the easiest\cheapest\best way to fix this @(#$*in problem??? Add a turbo? Chance ECU and or wiring? or what? I need advice

How did you come to the conclusion that it had been swaped??? Any Pics of the motor?
I went to the junk yard and grabbed a non-turbo ECU swapped it out and it seems to be running much smoother and the exhaust is not so rich anymore. I think it fixed the problem. I'm going to get the emissions retested tomorrow I'll let you know how it goes. Now just have to figure out why the idle wont go down.
Atleast its registered now.
