I've really been trying to figure out what kind of engine management parts you have to have to really get a good tune. for instance do you have to have an eprom ecu to have dsmlink, do you have to have a gm mas and a translator for a wideband, can you operate with just dsmlink and no mafs. I just bought 500cc injectors for my car along with dejon tool blow through uip, data logger, new walbro fuel pump. I'm waiting for a few other things but im stuck as what i should go with for engine management. I want dsmlink but I also want to be able to use the blow through setup along with it so i dont have to fabricate anything to recirculate my hks blow off valve. Thanks, Adam

First off, the maf-t can be used with dsmlink if you want recirculate your BOV. A wideband is just an A/f ratio gauge. You dont need anything to run it, you need it to tune with. If your going to a dyno you dont need this since they use theres.

You need an eprom to run dsmlink. Also there are no such thing as 500cc injectors that I know of. It all depends on your goal. If 350whp is your goal, I would go with either safc or a burned eprom chip. If your goals are set higher go with dsmlink.

eprom and DSMLink is the way to go. It is a bit much for the power you are wanting right now, but once you get that power you will want more, and with Link you can have it. I personaly don't like going the chip and safc, only because I started out with Link, and the ease of use with the programability is awesome. I can completely change my tune with the click on my laptop (ie pump tune, race gas tune, dumped exhaust tune, etc) it is kinda like having a bunch of chips at the touch of a button.

IMO if you are getting a blow through setup just so you can vent your BOV, then it is a waste of money. Now if you are going blow through to use a better tuning then ok. I went blow through for tuning, air flow, and if I blow off a IC pipe, I don't go into limp home mode :thumb: .

How can you not like the safc or burned chip if you never used it. The burned ecu can work just as good as dsmlink.

Also if you want to vent your BOV its not a waste of money because the maf-t is the only way to do it.

First of all I meant to say 550cc injectors, sorry. My original plan was to get the maft to tune with for my 550cc injectors and to change my entire intake before the turbo because the way its set up is really ghetto and i would like to clean it up a little, Plus I'm trying to get the most airflow possible. I don't know if I have really set a goal, I don't know of an awd dyno in Louisiana to even see where I'm at now so I'm really just going for efficiency. I'm actually moving back to Colorado jayrolla maybe in a few months ill give you a pm and we can meet up. I'm definitely going to save fro dsmlink though.
