ok so I have just installed ecmlink v3 in my car and decide to take it for a ride and make sure everything is good. Driving it around and pretty early the check engine light flashes while moving and I’m aware that it will flash after 5 degrees knock. So I data logged and it knocked all the way up 8 degrees during a realatively light pull. My car is stock with just a exhaust (down pipe-back) what would be causing knock like this. How can I fix it and should I be worried. Keep in mind the pulls were light Because my car is fuel cutting (researched and they said stock port o2 housing with an exhaust would help cause this problem ordering a new o2 housing tommorow but could this also be a cause of knock?)

Can you post a log of your drive? I don't think its the O2 causing knock. That housing is just a restriction to the exhaust flow but it also helps keep your boost in check by not allowing it to spike or creep on the stock setup. Many things can contribute to knock. First thing I would do if I had ecmlink is to make sure AFR's look good throughout the powerband.(14.7ish cruise down to between 10.5 and 11.5 on pump gas at WOT). Second, check your plugs and make sure they're in good shape and the right kind. A good plug reading is better than a dsm computer's estimate of knock any day. If you have specific ecmlink questions, their forums are a great way to get log advice.
