i have a 420a dsm and i just got it turboed ... i always ran hot before and now its worse
... the heat gauge was in the middle of hot and cold but the motor seemed hot .. now that its turboed the gauge reads that is cooler but the engine bay heat is very hot . i have a koyo rad and i cant seem to find a nower temp thermostat .. any tips on keepin it cooler? i am getting a heat extractor hood soon also

one thing you can do is get a turbo blanket for your turbo hotside it keeps the heat in since yours is prob squeezed in there (not factory) also you can wrap your headers/mani in exhaust wrap, this helps alot but a possiblilty for cracking depending how good your manifod is. And you coudl get a switch and wire your fans up to a switch to have on while in traffic or slow speeds. Also you can get a lower thermostat say..180 degree F dont go any colder.last but not least you can get that hood you said you were going to get that should help out a good ammout if its made the right way.
and you coudl rig up a air dam that a few guys have done on here looks kinda funkey but it works, along with some modifications to the bumper with a mouth hole cutout in the top part of the bumper
