My right engine fan (facing from front of car), does not turn on, only the left one does, it seems to get a little hot, but not over heat hot. when I turn the car off the right one does spin, because its turning off. What could cause this guys?:hmm::notgood:

because the one on the passenger side is the a/c fan. If you turn your a/c on both should come on.

^damn you beat me.

The right driver side fan is the a/c fan, only time it will turn on is when the a/c is turned on

the ac/heater is also not working! =[ could it be something to do with this part, under the air filter. It was leaking a week ago, something was slowly spraying out a metal tube(i dont mean to sound stupid)

I'm not sure on the length, but its a small metal pipe that has a twist thing on top, that goes up and around, the bottom goes under the coolant over flow, i get no air what so ever on any level or setting on my vents.

If nothing comes out of your vents it's not related to the a/c fan.

I'd start checking fuses, possibly a blower motors etc.. but the fan has nothing to do with either.

Check your fuses first because that is the easiest place to start. If the fuses are good then check your heater core to see if it is leaking or even engauging. Let me know what you find.

my car is doing the same type of thing but my fans are working but my car is running waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy hotter than i think it should like i can drive around the block and its hot as crap i replaced the thermostat can someone p/m me please i really need help

as far as dsmconifer's problem...

When you turn your air on and the AC button is depressed, do you hear the AC compressor click? This would be an indicator that the AC system should be working. It is possible that the leak that you saw was the refridgerant leaking out but without seeing it exactly.. Not sure.

If the compressor doesn't click on, your system may not have any AC refridgerant left. As far as not blowing hot air... I would think that would be a good thing haha. But that, I wouldn't be sure about that part of the problem. I would think when the car is at normal operating temp, you would get air at engine temp (hot) and vent (outside temp).

Your car, unless already converted to r134-a is an R12 system just to make sure you know.

Well, I looked back over the wiring diagram for the switch and there are 3 possibilites I can see, either you blew a fuse under the dash, your heater relay is bad, or you blew the fuse under the hood. double check these things... I am still learning to read these things so if someone else has any ideas please say so.

EDIT** wow didn't think they would have lined up so well haha

i would say it would have to be a fuse somewhere in my experiances with blowermotors is that if they go it will at least work on one level, check those fuses and get back to us... and if you could take a picture of the metal lines?

When the blow motor goes it just stops working like when the fuse blows. You check at the motor connector for voltage to see if it's one or the other.
When the resistor goes it stops working on one or more speeds but usually works on high.
When the switch goes bad it can be any or all speeds that quit.
