Hey,
after a engine rebuild on my 1996 D30 non turbo i tried to start the engine.
The engine did crank, but the car wont start.
I checked:

1)Compression - OK
2)Air - OK
3)Fuel - OK , Fuel pressure and Injectors are ticking
4)Timing - OK
5) Spark - No spark at all

What could be the cause of this? I dont think the problem lies in the Coils, because i think it is strange that both fail at the same time. Maybe the ECU?
Do you have any ideas what the reason could be for not starting?

I am very thankfull for every help!
Greetings from Germany,
Chris

I'm not very familiar with the N/A 4g63 model since we didn't get that option in this country, but does your car have the ignition power transistor like the turbo models? If so, test that out. It powers the coils and they are crap.

Is this the ignition power transistor (attached foto)? If yes, how can i test it?
