General Engine computer 97 Eclipse Spyder GST?

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse spyder gst. I have been told that my computer is likely bad. Dealership is quoting $1300. I have already put $2000 into it. Husband is done, due to a recent knee replacement. Is there a place that I can send my ECM off to get tested and/or fixed? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, as me and my husband are both self-employed. I have just want my car back and running right. I'm the 2nd owner and have owned for 10.5 years. I have done a ton of research. I haven't taken the ECM out yet to know what kind it is. Blessings!

ECMTuning is the only place I know of that can test and/or do repairs.

That’s a lot for a ECU you can find on here for significantly less. But reach out to ECMTuning and inquire, I have used their services to upgrade and verify/check the ECU is working properly, in the past they have updated the ECU with components that can fail over time.
