I have a 1990 gsx, I was driving home last night for christmas(100 miles). I noticed my oil pressure decreasing. I also started noticing a knocking sound. The sound got louder as the rpms went higher. I stopped by my old work to say hi. I started my car up, it ran for a second then died. I finally had it running after holding the rpms at 2k. I got home and drained the oil and couldn't find anything in the oil. I took the valve cover to look at rocker arms, and they all look fine.

Any other things I should look into?

At first guess I would say a bearing -- rod or balance shaft. You should see gold 'glitter' in your oil if it is a bearing.

If it's 1 specific cylinder, it may knock less if the plug wire is off, so pull plug wires one at a time and see if it makes a difference. You don't have any oil leaks right?

I'm going to be changing the main and rod bearings out. Just because it can't hurt to do it.

Sadly, yes I found an oil leak. Running from the turbo to the oil pan. I never noticed any oil where i parked my car.

I have my car apart at the moment, but I will take your advice on pulling the plugs one at a time.
