Engine Blown, any suggestions???

my engine just blew on friday night and i was thinking about buying an engine from slowboy racing, are any of there engines good? which one is the best? do u think that it would be cheaper to get mine rebuilt???? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!! i want my baby back

What exactly blew in your motor? This will help determine the best course of action for you.

As far as cost, it will be cheaper to build your own, but that requires time, knowledge, and knowing the right people to go to.

Post back what happened and we'll give you better advice.

I just bought a stock 4g63 shortblock from SBR. Actually it was delivered today and its at the shop being worked on now. I can't tell you if its any good yet personally but i've herd good things. I stayed with the stock shortblock only because of the cost of the stage one. 1600 for the block was all i could spend right now. The stage one gives you higher compression and forged pistons so it might be worth doing if you got the cash. But I do trust SBR and that's were i order all my parts.

well if i knew what blew in your motor i could help you out right now but sbr is pretty pricey but it all depends on what you want and what you want to get out of your motor. if you have a stock 6 bolt have it rebuilt with the parts you want to pute in it pistons, rings, connecting rods, crank, all the options are yours.

well... honestly i dont know what blew, but i know that on the timing belt side it is all covered in oil, there's oil on my driver door, rim, exhaust, basically everywhere. when i find out i will let you guys know

Since money was a big thing for me I order pistons and rods from Race Engineering and then had a reputable shop do the install. Just my .02
