Emissions/Vacuum lines

Well i was goin a boost leak test this weekend and found a big one where my dejon tb elbow meets the throttle body. So I disconnected the lines on top of the throttle to get to it better.

Putting it all back together, I got the two lines on the throttle body closest to the front of the car mixed up, and the car idled like it had some mean cams in it, and vacuum went from its normal 18-19 in. at idle to like 12.

Just curious, would driving like this cause any ill-effects to the motor?

Do another boost leek test maybe you forgot the tb gasket hah But no you can elimanate all the vaccume lines rip out the canister and cap them off it depends on ware you live and the laws ofcors

If you are going to leave the lines, hook them up the right way. If you want to get rid of them, follow this: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198327, some even leaving the solenoids connected you will still occasionally get a CEL, good thing about the pocketloggers is you can easily reset them. Bad thing its defeating the emmisions equipment and may cause reprocussions down the road. Mine are gone, but thats me and I still pass emmisions in my area this way (have so for about 4 years). Your results will vary.

As for the leak at the TB, I had one there too. I still blame mine on the thin dejon flange that may not be flat, from welding or just cut that way. I have just used a bit of gasket filler material and fixed mine. I will eventally replace the thin flange for a thicker 3/8" flange that will be square.

I wouldn't delete the emissions equipment. Check out this website, it will help you find out where they are supose to go
