My car failed emissions today, trouble code P1105. I never noticed there was a CEL on, because the MIL is apparently burned out. So P1105 is Fuel Pressure Solenoid...checked it, plugged in and fine. The dealer, however, told me that the problem had something to do with the BCS being disconnected and having an aftermarket Boost Controller. I have read that the BCS will make the computer throw a code if it isn't plugged in, so I checked it out. It's plugged in, of course, that would have been too easy. What else should I do short of reconnecting the BCS for emissions day then hooking my MBC back up afterwards? Would simply turning down the boost fix the problem? Thanks for any help!
but I think I'm getting worse than anyone I've heard talking about their average mileage on this site. I'm thinking (and hoping) that replacing the FPS will fix the problem. We'll see.
